What They Wore

Today, 4 of the 5 kittens are featured. Maria did her morning work in her pajamas and refused to let me take a picture of her, saying that pjs isn’t really fashion. I disagree. But Maria usually wins, so it’s just the little ones today.

It might look like Jamie couldn’t be in a better mood, but the truth is that I’m not sure he could be in a worse mood! This morning was a struggle. He didn’t want to wake up so I let him sleep in a little later than normal. Which was a bad idea because then he was cranky about rushing. His waffle “didn’t taste right,” he kept forgetting socks when he went upstairs, and he kept wearing a blanket like a cape so when he walked around, he’d drag around anything that was on the floor which made me really cranky (which made him cranky). Rough. Morning.

But this one? She is rarely in a bad mood. I mean, yeah, she totally yells and cries when she doesn’t get her way, but her overall mood is always quite happy. Even when she wakes up in the middle of the night telling us our bed is wet. She had a good chuckle over that one.

Let’s talk about this. Tiny children in fur vests might be my new favorite thing. Mostly because she looks so hilarious I laugh whenever I look at her. The romper is actually long john pjs but she doesn’t mind. They’re quite comfy.

“Mom! These pants feel so weird and they’re a little bit big!” Well, Alice, has anyone ever told you that fashion was painless and easy? No? Be a trooper and get through it.

That’s how our conversation went this morning. What, exactly, about ‘rubberized’ leggings could be uncomfortable? Oh, Alice, she is a trooper because she hasn’t complained since. And how awesome does she look? I die.

What They Wore (the big girl edition)

Big Girl Edition simply because the rest of us were in no position to show off what we wore today.

What We Wore

Every once in a while, my kids all look really adorable — clothes matching, shoes appropriately chosen, freshly bathed, you get the point. On those days, I document it.

It’s June — the time of reliably warm weather. Coat-ditching weather. I love June.

Pay no attention to the creepy zombie eyes. She claims the sun was reflecting off my lens into her eyes. I think we all know that’s a lie.

The baby is starting to make an appearance. I can’t stop it. I’m 13.5 weeks and this bump can’t hide. So it’s wearing a black top.  But my favorite part are these cute shorts with pink trim.

Happy Wednesday, peeps!

Let me just preface this post with an explanation (please learn there is always an explanation).  We were up literally all night with Alice.  She would sleep for maybe 45 seconds at a time and then wake up crying.  I’m not exaggerating.  Finally she woke up enough to tell us that her ear hurt and after giving her tylenol and trying to work some magic with essential oils, Dan and I were both so exhausted that he ended up taking her in to minor care where she was given antibiotics and more tylenol.  So basically, what I’m saying, is that their hair is a mess and no, they did not shower.  With that being said…

Happy Wednesday!

Another Wednesday, another W(th)WW post.  Let me tell you, nothing exciting around these parts.  Changing seasons is hard because it requires whole new wardrobe.  What Maria wore when she was Alice’s size is mostly Fall/Winter and Olive is much smaller than Charlotte.  Ah!  These kids are really cutting into my Starbucks wallet.

He gave his bangs a little trim — “I still want it long, but just a little short.  I did it so we didn’t have to spend money on a hair cut!”  Dude.

What you see here is something I just didn’t have the energy to fight.  You guys, send help.  SOS.

She woke up literally 2 minutes before this was taken.

I have a lot of whining to do, but I’ll save that for a later post.  For now, Happy Wednesday!!

I almost told you guys that I forgot to take pictures of the kids today and there wouldn’t be a w(th)ww post.  But then I remembered that friends don’t lie to one another.

You guys!

My children look like perhaps they have just survived both a tornado and a hurricane, each one the worst the world has ever seen.

TJ Maxx Romper || Nike kicks

The romper and the Nikes are not bad on their own.  But together?  Ay ay ay.  This girl needs some neutral ballet flats.

Peek Kids shirt || Nike pants || CROCs.

Only after I uploaded the images did I look at his footwear.  I just let the world know I purchased Crocs for my child.  If you could see me right now, I’m hanging my head in shame.  Oh, the shirt is awesome.  It says “Colonel Mustard in the Library”.  But…with Nike training pants?  I’d like to know what exactly James Flynn is training for….

Alice is not pictured because she’s in Disneyland.  But imagine her wearing an Ariel dress with cotton candy in one hand, chocolate milk in the other.  Not walking, but being driven around in a stroller, directing her Lala and Papa exactly which way to stroll her.

Zara tee || Peek Kids shorts || Zulily shoes

Oops.  I forgot to do her hair today.

Nope, didn’t forget.  I made the conscious decision to put that hair in Dawn’s hands because, let’s face it, Dawn can do no wrong in Charlotte’s eyes, and we just fight when I do her hair anyway.  Yes.  I fight with a 3 year old.  Strike a pose, C.

Zara top || Joe’s metallic jeans || horrible socks

Okay.  So maybe I don’t iron.  Big deal.

Happy Wednesday, friends!
