We went to the park today for lunch. “Park” at our house automatically means “skatepark” unless otherwise stated. In the Spring, it’s pretty much our second home and we like to go early on Sundays before it gets really crowded.
But it was Tuesday, 11:30am, on March 5th. And the kids and I needed a lunch date.
We called our favorite person to meet us for pizza. Requiring only that he bring the pizza….he does everything.
Which is why I can forgive him when he dips his pizza in disgusting cheese sauce with jalapenos. Oh my sickness.
Jamie went straight for the breadsticks and I’m pretty sure he ate 3 or 4.
I’ll take it. He needs some meat on his bones.
And after a quick bite to eat, we hopped on our boards.
Oh, you didn’t know I shredded? Totally. Totally gnar.
If you call rolling down the easiest parts of the park…over and over again….shredding. Then yes. Yes, I shred. Hard.
So does Alice.
But we are pretty sure that the best skater in the universe is this Pepsi guy.
He’s also incredibly good-looking.
How’d we get so lucky?
The kids watched. They ran and ran and watched. It’s what they do at the park.
And then it’s their turn.
This makes my heart so happy, you don’t even know…
It was Miss Olive’s first day at the park.
She showed us her moves.
And someday, these tiny little feet will take skateboard rides with daddy.
But until then, we’ll just sit and watch.
Happy Tuesday, friends.
