How long has it been, friends?
Too long. Too long since I’ve shared some of my favorites.
Yes, Charlotte does actually drink out of a normal, real-life cup. I wasn’t lying about that, I swear. But sometimes when you have a zillion things to do, or you want to give your child milk or something that could potentially spill and make an adorable outfit hideous…you go with a cup. I go with this cup with a straw. I got it at Nordstrom, but I’m sure you can get it other places, too.
Vintage Milk Bottles
These aren’t mine. I found this image on google. But I’ve started a small collection of my own vintage milk bottles because I kinda think they are awesome. We put flowers in them. Or just put them out because they’re cool.
Crewcuts Polka Dot Dress
Cheri told me to choose dresses for the girls for Dan’s sister’s rehearsal dinner, and I went with these. I’m so fashion, you guys, pretty much like Katie Holmes (I say this because when I was searching for an image of this dress, there was also a picture of Suri Cruise wearing the same one. So fashion. Minus the creepy heels.).
The Pink Tower
I’m going to admit that I’ve recently become a little obsessed (that seems like such a negative word..) with researching and purchasing Montessori materials for the kids to use at home. It may or may not be because I’m a Megan stalker and secretly want to be just like her. Whatev. But we got this pink tower a couple weeks ago and I have LOVED watching Alice use it.
I don’t really dress up, like…..ever. But when I do, I know that I have a pretty good selection of shoes to work with — I’ve always loved shoes. This weekend for Caitlin’s wedding, I’m wearing these lace bootie heels and they’re pretty good I guess.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Lotion
My friend Juey sent me a little care package when she found out I was pregnant (she’s awesome) and inside was a little bottle of this lotion. I LOVE IT. Unfortunately, it does nothing for my 74,593 stretch marks I already have, but I know that if I want to stay away from the 75,000 mark, I should use it everyday. I do.
Cocktail Hour Under the Tree of Forgetfulness
I got this book at Costco a while back and just started reading it. I am really enjoying it – the author is REALLY funny and her stories are pretty entertaining (and a little unbelievable!). I’d recommend it for sure.
Okay, so a couple years ago I went through a major baking phase. I made about 10,000 different kinds of cupcakes (from scratch) and made pies and cakes left and right. Then Charlotte came along. Then my laundry started growing at a ridiculous rate. Then I started watching True Blood and Walking Dead and Dance Moms. So the baking thing came to an end. Better things to do, people. But my poor children LOVE baking and love eating special treats now and then, so what did my lazy heart tell me to do? Find a quick and delicious cookie recipe. Done. A box of cake mix, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup veggie oil and 1 tsp baking powder. Oven for 13 minutes. I’m down one notch on the effort scale, but up 2 on the awesome mom who makes delicious cookies scale. Maria thinks I’m genius.
