Alice’s First Day

Today Alice started her very first day of school…ever.

My adorable green and brown-eyed 3 year old woke up at 7:00, ready for her big day.

Her Tea collection outfit was only complimented by the cowboy boots. A must.

My blog is the only place that I really brag and go on and on about my kids. Because I can. And you can navigate away from the page if you wish. But I don’t mind speaking the truth about them — they are beautiful.

She goes in the afternoons on T-W-Th, so her day doesn’t start, really, until noon. At noon, she had her lunch bag and her teacher’s gift and was ready to go.

These cookies….uhh….DELICIOUS. Here’s the recipe: 1 box of cake mix. 1/2 C veggie oil. 2 eggs. 1 tsp baking powder. 350 oven for 10 min.

That’s it.

We got inside and she changed from her outside shoes boots to her inside shoes and then we took a quick picture with Ms. Megan the Fabulous.

And I left both Alice and Jamie at the lunch table, eating their lunchables.

…don’t judge. They were 10 for 10 and Danny stocked up and got 15. YES 15. I’m only a little embarrassed. I threw an orange and a yogurt in there for health.

The kids are doing it. They’re going to school and they are going to learn wonderful things. I’ve never been emotional over these types of “firsts.” I was so excited when Maria started school and I never shed a tear. Neither did she. Alice and Jamie were both ecstatic to start this year and I couldn’t be more excited for them. I know they are going to have a great time and when 3:30 rolls around, I’ll be there to pick them up and we’ll have our own fun at home.

Happy first day of school, Alice!

Your children are beautiful… It was funny because I was thinking just that before I got to the part where you said that yourself, and yes, you should brag about your kids because they are beautiful and awesome and GOOD people. You and Dan rock. Thank you for keeping me inspired each day to do my best… for those kids who are excited to be there.
