Jamie’s very first school photo was this:
He was just barely 3 and was going to playschool at Fingerprints. Adorable.
The next year, he was 3 and went to playschool at All Saints.
Then last year when he was 4, he started at Children’s House.
This year, Jamie is 5. Looking as handsome as ever, he’s starting Kindergarten at Children’s House.
I’ve never seen him so excited. He woke up and said, “Good morning, Mama, it’s my first day of school. Can I wear my Chewbacca shirt?”
I didn’t argue, because first days are kinda special.
Charlotte was ready, too.
Both Jamie and Alice are doing afternoons this year, so we dropped Jamie off at 12:00, in time to eat lunch with his friends.
He got in and changed from his outside shoes to his inside shoes.
I snapped a quick picture with Ms Megan (and Noah the photo bomber 😉 ) and Jamie was off to his first day.
He went and sat with his friends while Ms. Megan explained the lunchtime routine.
Then it was time for him to eat lunch.
Those eyes told me to get lost. So I did.
Tonight’s first day of school meal is spaghetti and meatballs per Jamie’s request. Tomorrow is Alice’s first day of school and what did she request?
Happy First Day of School, Children’s House Montessori!
