At Children’s House, each child is in charge of bringing a snack once a month. I’ve talked about snack before here — it’s healthy. It’s different each day. Basically, it’s awesome.
Jamie’s sweet teacher, Megan, who is also one of my favorite friends (all my friends are my favorite, really, which isn’t hard since I have about 6 friends), knows that Jamie doesn’t really eat a thing, so his snack day is usually something she thinks he’d like. Today, he was assigned “fruit popsicles” and we decided we were going to make them.
Not just pour juice into molds. Oh, no.
We cut up fruit, got out my awesome juicer that the kids got me last year, and juiced the heck out of about 10 pounds of fruit.
We had nectarines (not a good choice, btw), grapes, watermelon, oranges, blueberries and pineapple.
We strained it using this little tool…
…then put it in $2 molds from Albertsons and let it sit overnight.
The juice looks so homemade and rustic….
NOW for WTHWW:
Awesome hair. Peek Kids shirt. Gap shorts. Western Chief boots.
Walkman headphones. J Crew shirt. Mini Boden capris. Walmart slip ons.
J Crew shirt. Unionbay (Costco) shorts. Skate shoes.
Tea Collection romper (thanks Hailey). Pedi Ped shoes (thanks Bellamy and Tara). This child has decided hair accessories just aren’t for her. I try telling her every day that no….she’s mistaken….they most definitely ARE for her. She doesn’t listen.
Hope you all have a really fabulous Wednesday!
