I agonize over party favors.
Are they cute enough?
Are they thoughtful enough?
Are they unique enough?
Ridiculous. But I love it. It’s one of those things that I love 100x more than the party-goers do. And I’m totally okay with it.
Maria’s horse-themed party favors are pretty much all horse. There’s the cowboy cookie mix and cookie cutter.
Then we have the tiny horse figure:
And then here are the crayons:
I got a set of cowboy boots, cowboy hats and horse heads from ScribblemeMine on Etsy. Adorable. She even threw in an extra cupcake crayon.
The boxes are my favorite.
I love simple but adorable. These are basically the definition of that.
The boxes themselves come from Shop Sweet Lulu. This is the most adorable shop ever. It’s also where I got the striped straws, balloons, tiny ice cream cups, twine, and a few other goodies.
The horse and ‘yee-haw’ on the front I got from Crop, Paper, Scissors in town. I went down there and asked if they had any horse, rodeo, or cowgirl themed paper. They didn’t, but she said, “But we can make adorable things from our Cricut machine!” She pulled out a booklet FULL of western-themed awesomeness. She did all the work for me, I just paid for it. Love it.
And on top? A bandana, duh.
We also made a trip to JoAnn’s today. We had to get burlap for the tables and the hay bales. Sticks for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Posterboard for a few signs. Fabric for adorable lanterns I’m making. And candy for bribes.
The little kids had had enough by the time we were at checkout, so I bribed them. Works every time, suckers.
No, literally, I had to buy them suckers.
Tomorrow, I’ll show you my cute little lanterns.
