Sometimes, it’s little things that make the day just a bit more special, don’t ya think?
Like in the morning when I put this lipgloss on:
There are TONS of different colors and I am lucky enough that if my mom happens to buy a set (they often come in sets like this) she will give me the colors she doesn’t want. They are a perfect shine and don’t make me feel like I’m in junior high. Always a plus.
Putting these on makes me feel super cool:
Marc Jacobs aviator sunglasses. I got them at the Nordstrom anniversary sale for a crazy good bargain and I’m crossing my fingers I don’t lose them. Why do I lose sunglasses??
Have you ever shopped zara clothing? Oooooh I love it. Not especially for me (although sometimes they have cute women’s clothing) but mostly for my kittens. Their kids clothes are A-Freaking-Dorable. They are a little like jcrew but a bit cheaper. I ordered a few things for our family pictures with Michelle Wolf when we go next weekend to the beach. The ocean beach. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!
It’s the little things, right? Smencils:
I am a little obsessed with these things. I like things that are ordinary, but maybe just a little step up. Like pencils….that smell wonderful and come in individual cases. Why would a pencil need to smell good? I have no idea. But there’s something about pulling it out of that plastic tube, giving it a good sniff, and writing out my grocery list that I love. Little things.
I love Disney Junior. Why? Because it’s geared for little kids whose mothers are strict and don’t let them say “stupid” and “butt” and all those other horrible things ;). Chuggington and Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Little Einsteins rock.
On Friday I bought a used d200 and I have been loving it. It’s a bit heavier than my d80 and the buttons are in different spots, so I’ll have to get used to it, but it’s definitely a step up…can’t wait to use it in a real photo session.
And, finally, accessories:
Sprinkles for Sprouts headbands. I ordered from her before Charlotte was born, not really expecting anything different than what I already had. But, oh, I was pleasantly surprised. Her headbands run right around $10 (some a little more, some a little less) and are beautiful. They are sweet and delicate and not loud and obnoxious. Those giant huge flowers are so fun for some outfits, especially if they match just right (Cenone got Charlotte the cutest black and white and yellow flower that looks SO CUTE with an outfit of the same colors), but not for everyday use with every single outfit. I stick one of these headbands on Charlotte every day. In fact, I just ordered some more that match the new Zara clothes. Perfection.
***note: I did not take ANY of these photos. I went to yahoo images and typed in what I was looking for and used them. The sprinkles for sprouts photo? I believe the owner of sprinkles for sprouts took it. And since I am definitely not trying to play it off as if it is my own and I am promoting her business, I hope she doesn’t mind. And everything else is from the distributor/company’s website.
