I was busy on Friday. I know, I am 1 for 3 on “Friday Favorites” which is not good odds. But no one really regulates the blogosphere and I can do whatever I want, so I’m doing Friday Favorites late (again).
Baby Favorite: Sophie Giraffe
We love our Sophie. We got one for Alice when she was a baby and Cheri got one for Charlotte this time around. Sophie is a rubbery teething toy and even though my 4 month old is not teething, she still loves it. It squeaks and is soft and has lots of parts that Charlotte can easily hold on to.
Aden and Anais.
I know, I’ve totally posted about these blankets before, but I have to do it again. They are the best. We were in CdA this weekend and I had to stop at Target — when I spotted the new Aden and Anais printed blankets (they come in packs of 4) I threw it in my cart and got all giddy. Yes, readers, I got giddy over muslin blankets. But you just wouldn’t understand unless you had a baby and tried these blankets out. I know I am slightly obsessed with them, but I’m okay with that.
Kid Favorite: Horizon Organic Milk…the boxed kind.
I’ve posted before how I always order “boxed chocolate milk” for the kids when I go through Starbucks. Well I’m smart and thought that maybe I should just buy some to keep at home and give it to them on the way out the door and pack it in their lunches. See? Smart. I’m not overboard on the issue of organic, but I do try and buy organic when I can. This milk is good for the kids and is a good size. Love it.
Bento Box book.
Now that I will have 3 children who need lunches throughout the week (Maria every day, Jamie T-TH and Alice T and TH) I have to come up with a good system for making lunches – something that is fun for them as well as fun for me. Making lunches CAN be fun, you guys. I went on Amazon and bought this book along with a few others. It’s so much fun and I’m super excited to try the ideas. After we get settled into our routine (this is, afterall, the first real week of school) I am going to dive in.
Mama Favorites: Adele.
Love Adele. She’s slightly needy and desperate (based on her song lyrics) but her tunes are pretty catchy. What’s the best thing about her? I can play the CD that Lava Girl made me in the car with the kids and I don’t have to worry about it. There isn’t any bad language. Toy Story…or Adele? Adele wins 8 times out of 10. 8 because sometimes I feel like a little “Woody’s Roundup.” Sue me.
Family Favorite: Disneyland.
Does this even need an explanation? We are going to Disneyland in 1 month and are so stoked about it. I’m getting online now (in between posting my favorite things) and making dining reservations. Blue Bayou, Napa Rose, character dining galore….Disney is magical, there is no doubt about it. MAGICAL.
My camera is out of batteries (someone named Daddy left it turned on. I’m sure it was him.) but once it’s charged up, I will get all the photos off of it and post about our weekend in Sandpoint. Check back later because there are some pretty cute pictures coming your way.
