Another hot day today. And sometimes, even when it’s super hot outside, you wanna get out of the house and take your kids to do something fun. Today, we went to Pioneer Park where I let the kids play in the fountain. Wearing shoes, of course.
And everything is better when, on the way, you pick up a soy white chocolate mocha and 3 boxed chocolate milks. (Thank you, yardsale money).
Everything is also better when you have a 6 year old who is willing to help with anything. Even help with that silly 2 year old who took off her shoes right when we got there. She got down and helped her put them back on. Love that girl.
My “buzzy little bumblebee” (that’s what Jamie called her) was very cautious. She wasn’t sure.
Ria had a blast.
And Jamie, on the way home, informed me that he, “didn’t have any fun because he doesn’t like getting wet. And at the park, he got very wet.”
He didn’t have any fun. None at all.
Not even a little bit.
(But Alice did)
And so did Charlotte.
And even when lots of other kids arrived, laughing and playing and screaming, my 3 little kittens played together. Because they are best friends.
And when they are older, I’ll show them all the pictures I have of them playing together and I will say, “You were best friends when you were little, too.” Because I’m sure they’ll be best friends for ever and ever.
And after tiny little backs got tanned…
…tiny little kittens screeched….
…and the bag was packed up…
…the Prasils went home. Well, home to Lala’s house. Which is just like home, only we don’t sleep there. We went to Lala’s to swim and play with the Remacle girls and the Grimm boys and then we went home home to crash. Charlotte slept right away, Alice fell asleep in the car and the big kids spent the rest of the afternoon watching Toy Story 2.
